Social Skills

PALS provides both individualized and group-based instruction in pragmatic social skills, including: perspective taking, assessing others’ emotional states, interpreting body language and nonverbal communication, using body language and nonverbal communication, working collaboratively in group settings and self-monitoring of disruptive behavior. 

Social skills are taught using empirically validated behavioral procedures, including direct instruction, modeling, video modeling, role-playing, self-monitoring, self-management and social stories.
